At Honey Lane we are Sydney based Wedding Planners and Stylists who absolutely LOVE working with couples to bring their wedding dreams to life!

But when a birthday celebration with this brief hit our inbox; we absolutely couldn’t say no (I am pretty sure I may have jumped up and down with excitement!) Don’t be afraid of colour!!!

Our beautiful client Georgia approached us in March this year to grab some assistance in planning and styling her 30th Birthday celebration. Georgia had an incredible vision that involved a Tutti Frutti colour scheme; think bright pinks, bold yellows, veuve orange and a splash of lilac purple, sky blue and lime green here and there. She loved the idea of food cart (help yourself) catering, ensuring to keep the day styled to perfection, yet relaxed.

First things first we had to choose a venue, and after some careful consideration we landed on a beautiful private property in Darling Point that absolutely delivered the perfect amount of sophistication neutral colour palette to the day, allowing her theme to pop.

Honey Lane Planner’s Lara and Sophie worked with Georgia on some incredible parts of the day including catering, bar service, entertainment, cake, venue sourcing ultimately bringing the perfect vibe to the day. We have the wonderful team at Chapa on food, Bar Bae on drinks, the fabulous Stacy Brewer on Cake and Tom from Upbeat Social on the decks.

When it came to styling the space, creating a flow between the movement of guests was at the top of the list for us (apart from the epic styling of course!!). Thus, we had created stations around the perimeter for each guest to enjoy, while the centre was left to boogie! Georgia had her very own food carts including taco’s, burgers, fries and pizza. AVIP station, Marg Bar, Gelato Cart and endless photo opportunities for Georgia and her guests – and damn did they understand the assignment!

Georgia and her guests had the most epic day and looked absolutely amazing. We are so thankful for the privilege and we can’t wait to continue to create some pretty epic events like this one!
