A Modern Affair in the Hunter Valley

Meet one of our gorgeous couples Candice and David, Melbourne based but decided to get married interstate at the extraordinary Redleaf in Wollombi. A stunning wedding venue in the Hunter Valley regions of New South Wales.

To make the journey as stress-free as possible, Candice and David asked us to plan and style their wedding so they took our Full Planning and Styling Service

Candice had an appealing vision from the get-go! Think white, blush and black with earthy dried blooms together against the attraction of Redleaf’s Tuscan inspired home on the property. Plus, a dash of their personality to pop. Exactly the kind of styling brief we can get behind and we had the team from Allumé to thank for the equally beautiful snaps you will see below.

The day started with a special and memorable Bedeken ceremony where the groom lifts the bride’s veil the bride for the first time - a moment this couple will cherish forever.

Following their Bedeken, the couple joined the remainder of their guests at the front of the house to begin their wedding ceremony. Traditional Jewish practices mixed with a lovely civil event filled with lots of love, laughter and commemoration for the two love birds!

It wasn’t until David concluded the ceremony with the famous Jewish bang. The crash of the glass ended the service under their custom created chuppah, and everyone was ready to let the celebrations really begin … Mazel Tof!

As the couple were swept away to take some gorgeous shots around the property and their guests to the Pizza Kitchen for some light refreshments, the Honey Lane team were finalising a few of the finishing styling touches inside their all-white pavilion marquee with an exceptional group of industry vendors such as Kate from Two Wild Hands on the florals, John from Pavilion Marquees, The team from Fennel and Co on the catering and DJ Feline on the beats with Rutherford Entertainment.

Inside the marquee, we also entrusted a great line up of styling items from some of our dearest industry friends. Leah from My Creative Spaceunderstood our vision from the get go and created the most beautiful arch wedding signage and stationary, Simmons Linen Hire provided us with their woven pebble linen tablecloth, the ladies from The Collective Hirefurnished the ceiling with their timeless shell chandeliers and Reso and Co who custom built the most exceptional white bar at four metres long to create the perfect statement.

The moment the guests entered the reception, the Jewish Hora Dance began (que DJ Feline!!) and ultimately set the scene for a fun evening! While the Bride and Groom were hoisted into the air on their chairs, their friends and family dance around them with joy!

As the night led on and the sun went down, the statement marquee lighting really set the perfect mood and created the right ambience for the evening. Candice, David and their wedding guests danced the night away and created the most special evening ... one to remember forever!
